I recently reviewed the records of a new applicant who has been seeing the Salem Clinic. After three different requests for records, we still NEVER received the following: NO prescription log of post-dated prescriptions given to the patient that are not documented in the chart notes, NO controlled substance agreement despite them saying one was done, and NO Material Risk Notice as advised by the Oregon Medical Board.

So many clinics do not take the matter of pain management seriously and just go through the motions of prescribing opiates in this era of an “opioid crisis.”

Another clinic fails to provide all requested medical records; are they hiding something?

I would like to see some type of action taken against such clinics that basically create problems for chronic pain patients when they are trying to find other providers.

Obviously they don’t think that anyone can do anything to them, so they keep up this type of behavior.

Records are important for a patient’s care. Don’t they care to help their patients?

Rules don’t mean anything to those that only look at their paychecks.

Too bad they can’t all get fined big money for their failure to do their jobs. That’s the only way they will learn, except if they went to jail, but that will never happen.

Sounds like everyone is on the take! No one gets in trouble for breaking the law, so no one really cares.

Isn’t there anyone at these clinics responsible enough to do their job, or is it that everyone is on the take for money?

It’s sad that these clinics aren’t interested in helping their patients as much as they are in helping their own pocketbooks.

Bet the other clinics don’t even bother to notice when those records are missing because they don’t even bother to look at the medical records they get.

Whatever happened to helping patients? It seems to me that failing to send all the records is failing to help patients get the care they need from the next provider.
